11/10/2005 · There is a lot of friction involved with milling, Trying to push a cutter to maximun metal removal rates is bad practice. If there is a lot of material to be removed, make a roughing cut, a semifinish cut and then a light finishing cut. That's normal, good sense milling practice regardless of the stories that you might hear.
